A first sweater and student enthusiasm

November greetings from a grateful knitting teacher.
I have been getting some really sweet emails from my students!
This one is from Jean B.:
"
I hope you receive the picture of Alexa in her new sweater. It fit perfect and she cried when I took it off. ...... She looks so beautiful in it and I am very proud of myself for knitting my first sweater. Thank you for all your help and expertise."
Here's a picture she sent:

She is indeed adorable! Jean did a wonderful job...she's off to a great start in a craft she'll be able to do the rest of her life!

I am so thrilled about the student enthusiasm this fall semester! Here are some excerpts from other student emails:
"It was a good class today..."
"
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the first class of knitting instructions last Tuesday. I completed the first 4 inches of the scarf pattern. I was so enthusiastic about knitting that I went out and bought more yarn to do a second scarf. "
"I am on high from today's knitting class. "
"I did complete my first scarf on Monday. I only need to bind off and weave in the ends. My grandson is very pleased with the results. I told him he couldn't have it until my teacher saw it and gave me a grade." (That is so cute!!...I'm sure I'll give her an A++ ! )
"
Knitting was so much fun last night! "

My students are such a blessing in my life...I just love each and every one of them.

Hopefully such student enthusiasm will motivate each of you to keep picking up those needles, dear knitters.
Mary
